We grow fresh lettuce, salad sprinkles a.k.a. microgreens, flavor bombs and edible flowers indoors in small batches hydroponically with water, no dirt and pesticides. We release fresh food collections for pre-order in our online shop featuring boxes of our freshest lettuce, greens, herbs and edible flowers paired with our favorite food products. How does it work?
Every 6-8 weeks we will release a new fresh food collection, based on a theme or holiday ex.) Mother’s day, 4th of July, etc. Depending on the release, you can customize and buy your fresh food collection right on the website. Collections are curbside pick-up only, address, date and time for pick-up are on your email confirmation receipt. In between releases we will have mini-market pop-ups, sell herbs and our salad sprinkles on Instagram and Facebook. If you’re not sure, what to do direct message us on Facebook or Instagram.
Do you ship?
We are located in Wheatfield, NY and are only available for pick up. We don’t currently ship elsewhere but have tested shipping across the U.S. We really want to serve our Western New York community doing our part to contribute to sustainability and the broken food system by keep food miles low so we will not be shipping across the U.S. in the near future.
What do you grow?
We grow our own living lettuce heads, micro-greens and herbs with no chemicals and 90% less water than growing in soil. Our lettuce is fresher than the 10-day old lettuce you buy in the traditional grocery store. We have experimented with growing other fresh vegetables like tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers, etc. indoors but they take too long so we only grow those types of vegetables outdoors seasonally.
Does the lettuce come in dirt?
No, our lettuce does not come in dirt. We do not grow our lettuce in soil of any kind, just water! So that means you don’t need to worry about anymore e.coli outbreaks or lettuce recalls! We package our living lettuce with a little starter water but for fresher longer lettuce, refresh the water every 2-3 days.
How can I buy Something?
You can pre-order and purchase fresh food collections through our online shop on our website as well as herbs and salad sprinkles through our Instagram and Facebook shop. If you’re wondering if we have something growing or would like to make a request send us a message!
Can I replant the lettuce?
Yes, you can replant the lettuce but you might only get 2-3 cuts from it outside and the weather must be just right. Instead, we recommend refreshing the water and keeping your lettuce in the fridge in our exclusive fridge-friendly container as it may keep growing.
